Got to the tattoo parlour where you are getting the tattoo done, they're most likely to have a book or flash on chinese symobols etc. Best to try your tattooist as most internet sites etc are completely wrong, unless you try a dictionary!

Trust me the Asian population could care less…
Tattoos are all about symbols and different
cultures…No worries…Ink On..
I have a rose, a crab, a clamshell…and I'm not
any of those things..well maybe one…
Just get what you love, be happy, live and let live…

I think it's stupid. I think most ppl regret tattoos because the tattoos they get is stupid and doesn't mean anything, especially when it's of a different culture. You can do it, but just be prepared to be like "i dunno, i just think it's cool" to ppl when they start asking about it. Older ppl don't get tattoos cuz they matured and not as stupid as young ppl.

There is no such real thing as being "white." Most people are of multiple races and ethnicities. I look "white" but have some asian family decendants in the family tree.

I have a giant traditional Koi tattoo on my calf, and I have actually gotten stopped and complimented on it by really really old Asian people. They seem to dig it just fine. I think it's great if it's done well.

i LOVE oriental style tattoos especially full sleeves koi fish,hanya masks,dragons,monks,geishas,cherry blossoms,smoke,waves, bamboo,bonsai tree, samurais they all look great if they are in color i say go for it
